On Some Rings of Arithmetical Functions
In this paper we consider several constructions which from a given B-product ∗B lead to another one ∗̃B . We shall be interested in finding what algebraic properties of the ring RB = 〈CN, +, ∗B 〉 are shared also by the ring RB̃ = 〈C N, +, ∗B 〉. In particular, for some constructions the rings RB and RB̃ will be isomorphic and therefore have the same algebraic properties. §
متن کاملOn Some Arithmetical Properties of Solutions of Decomposable Form Equations
We study some fine arithmetic properties of the components of solutions of a decomposable form equation. Lower growth rates for the greatest prime factor of a component are obtained for density 1 of the solutions. Also, high pure powers are shown to occur rarely. Computations illustrate the applicability of our results; for example, to the study of units in abelian group rings.
متن کاملOn the Average Order of Some Arithmetical Functions
We consider a large class of arithmetical functions generated by Dirichlet series satisfying a functional equation with gamma factors. Our objective is to state some 12 results for the average order of these arithmetical functions. Our objective here is to state some B-theorems on the average order of a class of arithmetical functions. We indicate very briefly the class of arithmetical function...
متن کاملSome Studies on Arithmetical Chaos in Classical and Quantum Mechanics
Several aspects of classical and quantum mechanics applied to a class of strongly chaotic systems are studied. The latter consists of single particles moving without external forces on surfaces of constant negative Gaussian curvature whose corresponding fundamental groups are supplied with an arithmetic structure. It is shown that the arithmetical features of the considered systems lead to exce...
متن کاملHerbrand Consistency of Some Arithmetical Theories
Gödel’s second incompleteness theorem is proved for Herbrand consistency of some arithmetical theories with bounded induction, by using a technique of logarithmic shrinking the witnesses of bounded formulas, due to Z. Adamowicz [Herbrand consistency and bounded arithmetic, Fundamenta Mathematicae 171 (2002) 279–292]. In that paper, it was shown that one cannot always shrink the witness of a bou...
